The second lets you keep the versions in a separate folder structure. If you click this, Pre Version will keep all NEW versions of original files in the folder selected above, inside of folders named “Versions Pre” inside the same folders as the original files and on the same volumes (naturally). “Document Types” describe the kinds of documents that Pre Version will monitor. Each application has its own special ID and, usually, its own document type IDs. Some Types, like TEXT, are used by many different applications. This can be used to locate a folder which has been moved from one place to another. You can also use it to change the folder of an entry you made by cloning an existing folder entry using copy/paste. Check this box if you want the sub-folders of the currently selected folder in the above folder list to inherit these specifications.A folder's own specifications (if any) take precedence over inherited specifications. Click this to delete the currently selected document type entry. Click this button to add a new document type to the list. This is the list of document types that PreVersion is currently monitoring for the folder currently selected in the folder list above. Check this if you want all version files created by PreVersion to be locked. Enter the maximum number of “revolving” versions (0 means no limit). Enter the number of minimum number of minutes that you want to pass before PV will allow a version capture. Click this button to delete the currently selected folder from the folder list list.
